Calamus Creative (“we”, “our”, or “us”) partners with Stripe, Inc. (“Stripe”) to securely process online payments. This policy explains how payment information is collected, used, and safeguarded when you submit a payment through our websites and client portal.
Information We Collect
- Contact details such as name, business name, billing address, phone number, and email address.
- Payment method details entered during checkout (e.g., card number, expiration date, CVC).
- Transaction metadata, including invoice numbers, amounts, currency, IP address, device/browser data, and fraud indicators supplied by Stripe.
How Your Information Is Used
- To authorize, process, and settle payments with Stripe acting as our payment processor.
- To provide invoices, receipts, account statements, and customer support related to your services.
- To satisfy legal, accounting, and anti-fraud obligations.
How Stripe Handles Your Data
Stripe securely receives your payment details directly in an encrypted form. Sensitive card data never touches Calamus Creative servers. Stripe stores and protects your information under its own Privacy Policy and is certified as a PCI DSS Level 1 service provider.
Data Sharing
We share payment information only with trusted parties necessary to complete the transaction—primarily Stripe, banking partners, and required regulatory authorities. We do not sell or rent your payment information.
Retention
Transaction records are retained for as long as needed to service your account and comply with applicable laws, typically at least seven (7) years. When data is no longer required, it is securely deleted or anonymized.
Your Choices
- You may request corrections to your contact details by emailing james.portune@calamuscreative.com.
- You may request removal of stored payment methods or cancellation of automatic payments by contacting our support team.
- You can opt out of marketing emails at any time; transactional payment communications will still be sent when necessary.
Security Measures
We use HTTPS everywhere, enforce strict least-privilege access controls, and rely on Stripe’s PCI-compliant infrastructure. Internally, payment access is restricted to authorized personnel who require it to service your account.
Children’s Data
Our services are intended for businesses and individuals over the age of 18. We do not knowingly collect payment information from children.
Updates
We may update this policy to reflect operational or legal changes. Revisions will be posted here with an updated effective date. Continued use of our services after changes are posted constitutes acceptance.
